Meeting with Sri Nannagaru: An Interview by Swami Atmananda Udasin

(24:27) An interview of H.H. Sri Nannagaru by Swami Atmananda Udasin in Jinnuru, Andhra Pradesh (South India), on 7th January, 2016.

Born in 1934, Sri Nannagaru came from a tiny village, Kommara, in Andhra Pradesh. His Master was Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. In 1957 he had his earliest vision of Sri Bhagavan in a vivid dream. In the vision he was kissed on the cheeks three times by the Maharshi. From that moment on there was a marked turn in his daily life.
Years later he was acclaimed and hailed by his devotees and disciples as ‘Nanna Garu’. ‘Nanna’ in Telegu means ‘Father’ and ‘Garu’ is an honorific title. Thus, he was endearingly called ‘Respectable Father’.
People thronged around him in the thousands and listened to him with rapt attention. His meditation sittings attracted men and women from all corners of the world, and those who meditated in His Presence had their minds spontaneously withdrawn from external realities and soaked in the Heart centre. His silence spoke volumes and a single powerful glance by him conferred inexplicable bliss. He was a living legend who always showered peace wherever he was! Sri Nannagaru toured exhaustively in South India to quench the spiritual thirst of his devotees and often visited the holy Kshetra,
Sri Arunachala. Sri Nannagaru dropped his mortal frame on December 29th, 2017.
